ABOUT THE AUTHORS: Elizabeth Ford & Daniela Drake

Elizabeth Ford is an Emmy-award-winning news producer, TV writer and Media Consultant. Daniela Drake, M.D., attended Wellesley College and received an MBA from Stanford University. A former McKinsey consultant, she is now a full-time primary care physician. Both women have married (for love) and have reaped the consequences. They live in Los Angeles, California.

Hey Smart Girls,

We know that the title of this book may offend you, but really, that’s the point.

Our book is not a gold-digging “How-To,” but a thought-provoking “Why-To” intended to spark controversy and debate.

We’re a couple of hard-working career women and moms trying to figure out how to “have it all,” while at the same time pondering what “having it all” actually means. We did a lot of research and talked to a lot of smart girls while we wrote this book, and we’d like to hear from you too.

We wrote this tome mostly to generate laughter and insight for women dealing with the often hilarious and heartbreaking truths of the times.
